Ella or Georgie?

My poor baby girl has been called two different names ever since she was born! Half our family call her "Ella" and the other half call her "Georgie". I personally love "Georgie"! I've loved this name ever since I was a little girl. Did anyone ever watch the show, Sisters? It was such a long time ago, but one of the sisters on the shows name was Georgie. I love the name "Ella" also, but it is so popular right now. When I take her to the park there are always 5 other little girls named "Ella". Even when she was born there were 3 other babies in the nursery named "Ella". She is named after two very special ladies, so both names we do love dearly and mean the world to us! "Ella" is her Great Grandmother, who is still living! She will be 94 in July and helped raise Steve when he was a little boy. And Georgette was Steve's Mom, she passed away from cancer when he was 4. I wish she was still here with us. I wish I would have been able to meet her, and am so sad she isn't here being able to see her granddaughter.

Getting back to her name now, Steve feels that she is going to be teased because "Georgie" is a boy or girl name and "Ella" is more soft and very feminine. He cares so much about her and wants to protect her from ever getting hurt. So for right now she does know both names and doesn't seem to mind what we call her. She is such a trooper! I am going to enroll her in preschool as "Georgie" and can see the name "Georgie" on her cheer leading skirt! I love her so much and I personally think she looks more like a "Georgie" than an "Ella".

I love you with all my heart and soul, Ella Georgette Gimblin! You make me be a better person and have changed my life forever. You will always be my Georgie Girl!

Kentucky Derby Golf Tournament.

A few friends and I did a pub crawl/miniature golf tournament in Marysville for charity. We had such a wonderful time and we won best costume! Here are some pictures of our day. Enjoy! Sorry I have been such a lame blogger lately, but we have been so crazy busy! I got a new camera for my birthday. I'm in love with it! And no, I'm not going to be some professional photographer or anything, just wanted a nice camera to capture memories of my baby girl.
